How it works

  • Just choose a value and a unit to see the conversion result in all units: µΩ, mΩ, Ω, kΩ, MΩ, and GΩ.
  • The ohm (Ω) is the SI base unit of electrical resistance, defined as the resistance that lets 1 A of current flow when 1 V is applied.
  • Each prefix represents a multiple or fraction of the SI unit: 1 kΩ = 1,000 Ω, 1 MΩ = 1,000,000 Ω, 1 mΩ = 0.001 Ω, and 1 µΩ = 0.000001 Ω.
  • When a number is extremely large or small, it is automatically shown in exponential notation (e.g. 1.2345e+9) for readability.
  • Useful for circuit design, checking tester and resistor markings, and estimating wiring resistance in electronics and PCB projects.
  • You can share the result on X, and the row you entered is highlighted in the table so you can see the original unit at a glance.
