How it works

Choose the conversion direction (Japan → US or US → Japan), then enter the date, time, and target US time zone to see the converted date and time.
The US spans several zones with different clocks: Eastern Time (ET), Central Time (CT), Mountain Time (MT), Pacific Time (PT), and Hawaii Time (HT). Pick the zone where your contact is located.
Turning on Daylight Saving Time calculates with a clock one hour ahead of standard time. US daylight saving roughly runs from March to November, and Japan does not observe daylight saving.
Hawaii does not observe daylight saving time, so HT always uses standard time.
A large time difference can push the result into a different calendar day. The result shows whether the date moves forward or back, along with the weekday of the converted time.
