Leap Year List

Enter a start and end year to list every leap year in that range. See the total count, the nearest leap years just outside the range, and Japanese era years.

Input

You can list any range from year 1 to 9,999 AD, up to 2,000 years at a time.

Result

Enter a start year and an end year.

How it works

  • Enter a start year and an end year, and every leap year within that range (inclusive of both ends) is listed.
  • A leap year is one whose number is divisible by 4. However, years divisible by 100 are common years, while those divisible by 400 are leap years again.
  • Besides the count of leap years in the range, the tool shows the nearest leap year before the range and the first leap year after it.
  • Each leap year is also shown with its corresponding Japanese era year (Meiji, Taisho, Showa, Heisei, Reiwa).
  • You can choose any range from year 1 to 9999 AD, up to 2000 years at a time. If the start and end years are reversed, they are sorted automatically.
