How it works
- Enter a value and select its unit to convert it at once into percent, per mille, ppm, ppb, decimal ratio, and the Japanese wari, bu and rin.
- The reference is the plain ratio (decimal 1.0 = 100%). For example, 50% equals a ratio of 0.5, and ppm expresses how many parts per one million something makes up.
- Wari, bu and rin are Japanese fractional units (used for batting averages and the like): 1 wari = 10%, 1 bu = 1%, and 1 rin = 0.1%.
- ppm (parts per million) and ppb (parts per billion) are handy for very small proportions such as water quality or concentration figures.
- Very large or very small converted values are shown in exponential notation, while the rest use grouped digits for easy reading.
