This tool handles a square prism whose base is a square with edge length a. The volume V equals the base area times the height h, so V = a squared times h.
The base area is a squared, the lateral area is 4ah, and the total surface area S adds the two bases, giving S = 2a squared plus 4ah.
The space diagonal, joining the two farthest vertices, is the square root of (2a squared plus h squared).
