How it works
- Supported units include the metric system (milligram (mg), gram (g), kilogram (kg), tonne (t)), the avoirdupois system (ounce (oz), pound (lb), stone (st), carat (ct)), and traditional Japanese units (monme, kin, kan).
- Conversions use the kilogram (kg) as the base unit. Each value is first converted to kilograms and then to the target unit, so every combination gives a consistent result.
- The main factors are defined values: 1 pound = 453.59237 g, 1 ounce = 28.3495 g, 1 stone = 6.35029 kg, 1 carat = 0.2 g, 1 monme = 3.75 g, 1 kin = 600 g, 1 kan = 3.75 kg.

- Very large or very small results are shown in exponential notation. Displayed values are approximate, so round any remaining fractions as appropriate for your use case.
