How it works
- The tip is the bill amount multiplied by the tip rate (%), and the total with tip is the bill plus that tip amount.
- Tap a tip rate of 10%, 15%, 18%, or 20%, or enter any custom rate (for example 12% or 25%).
- "Per person" is the total divided by the number of people you enter — a quick guide when splitting the check with a group.
- How to use: enter the bill, choose or enter a tip rate, then enter the number of people. The total, tip amount, and per-person split update automatically.
- In the US it's common to tip around 15–20% depending on service, but the customary rate varies by country, venue, and type of service.
- Displayed amounts are rounded estimates. Actual charges may differ depending on the venue's rules and the currency unit.
