How it works
- The unit price is found by "price ÷ volume (or quantity)", giving the cost per 1 g, 1 ml, or 1 piece for comparison.
- The product with the lower unit price is judged the better deal. If both unit prices are equal, the result is shown as a tie.
- The savings rate (%) is calculated as "(higher unit price − lower unit price) ÷ higher unit price × 100", showing how much cheaper the better deal is than the other.
- Be sure to choose the same unit (g / ml / pcs) for both products. Entering different units (e.g. g vs. ml) will not produce a valid comparison.
- You can enter prices either including or excluding tax, but matching the conditions for both products gives a more accurate comparison. Take care when the tax treatment of the listed prices differs.
- The results are a guide based on your inputs. Also consider factors beyond price, such as shipping, reward points, expiration dates, and whether you can use up the amount.
