Track and Field Calorie Calculator
Estimate the calories burned in track and field from your body weight, training time, and event intensity. Just pick the METs for track work, jumps and throws, or competitive running.
Input
Estimate the calories burned in track and field from your body weight, training or competition time, and event intensity. METs values are representative averages, so treat the result as a guideline.
Result
Estimated calories burned (Light track training)
378kcal
About 1.6 bowls of rice / about 53 g of body fat
Applied METs
6.0 METs
Duration
60 min
Body weight
60.0 kg
How it works
- Calories burned are calculated as "METs × body weight (kg) × duration (hours) × 1.05". Enter the duration in minutes; it is converted to hours internally.
- The intensity METs are guidelines: light track training = 6.0, jumps & throws practice = 6.0, and competitive running = 10.0. Actual values vary with your pace and the specific event.
- METs values are guidelines based on representative figures from the Compendium of Physical Activities (METs table) published by Japan's National Institute of Health and Nutrition.
- As a reference conversion, one bowl of rice is treated as about 234 kcal and 1 g of body fat as about 7.2 kcal.
- Results are estimates only. Actual energy expenditure varies with body composition, fitness, form, temperature, and other individual factors.
- Use it as a rough estimate for diet and competition conditioning; consult a professional when precise figures are required.
